Wyrms, based on the book by Orson Scoot Card, takes place on planet Imakulata, far in the future, thousands of years after it was colonized by humans.  The natives of the planet have an unusually malleable genetic code.  At the time of the story, King Oruc has usurped the throne of the Heptarch from Peace, who allows it because Oruc is the kind of leader the planet needs most at the time.  But as years pass, Peace, while serving as Oruc's diplomat and assassin, has passed his knowledge on to his daughter Patience.  At thirteen years of age, Patience learns she is supposedly the fulfillment of an ancient prophecy, in which she reclaims the Heptarchy and gives birth to Kristos, who will either save or damn the world.

This page depicts Patience learning of the prophesy concerning her from the bodiless head of the Queen, who also tells her there was nearly a holy war to put her on the throne!
