The Fantastic Four start the evening out attending a charity auction for the Museum of Natural History with their longtime friend, postal worker Willie Lumpkin. But when the diabolical Doctor Santos arrives, amazing things begin to happen, especially to the FF!
This page depicts the home of Willie Lumpkin, where Doctor Santos is revealed as Diablo. The Thing, sitting in the basement amusing hiself with toy Thing and Hulk figures, hears the battle start above, where Mister Fantastic and the Invisible Woman are sorely beset by ball lightning!
Panel one of this page is rendered in pencils only, as it was replaced with a different version of the scene in the finished book. This is a rare chance to have the one and only page of the story that looks like this!
