Artist Wilson Tortosa pencilled this issue of City of Heroes, published by Image/Top Cow!

This original art, measuring approximately 11" x 17", is illustrated on standard weight comic art illustration board.

This page depicts Paragon City, home to the City of Heroes, as Numina tells the gathered heroes that the evil sorcerors known as the Circle of Thorns have the means to bring an almost infinitely powerful demon to their plane of existence!  They will need three of the citizens of Paragon City to do it, and the heroes must protect those three at all costs!  Statesman and Sister Psyche head for the Yellow Line train to find the first of the three, Cyrus Thompson!  They find him, an old man who claims to have been a superhero himself in his youth!  He used to be a speedster named "Breakneck", fighting crime for over 30 years, even teaming with Statesman, who doesn't recall the older man.  Cyrus retired when doctors told him any more superspeed would kill him.  But Cyrus seems to know that the Circle of Thorns is involved, pointing behind the young heroes...as the Circle of Thorns attacks!  Psyche is downed as Statesman heaves a large object at her attacker!  In his concern for her, he never sees what blasts him out of the building and into the street below!

NOTE: There is a smudge on the left side edge of the page, next to panel two, to the left on Sister Psyche's head.  Please keep this in mind before buying!

BONUS!  Along with the finished page is a photocopy of the sketched page layout by Wilson Tortosa.  These photocopies are two pieces of paper taped together to approximate the size of the finished page, and used to give the rest of the creative team a look at how the finished page will look.  Sometimes, you can see noticeable changes from layout to finished page.  Keep in mind these photocopies have all taken a beating to some degree.  The winner gets BOTH pages!
