Cliff Richards and Will Conrad respectively pencilled and inked this issue of Excalibur (2005) from Marvel Comics!

This original art, measuring approximately 11" x 17", is illustrated in pencils and inks on standard weight comic art illustration board.

"The Devil's Own", part 2 of 4, is written by generational X-Men chronicler Chris Claremont, who appeared in a cameo role in the movie "X3: X-Men United".

Six months previous to this story, Courtney Ross, newly-crowned White Queen of the infamous Hellfire Club, set in motion a plan to destabilize the nation of Zanzibar, and rule it herself. Her agent in this matter, Viper, secured the services of the African mercenary cadre, the Weaponeers, to assist her. Only two people posed any significant resistance--Warren Worthington III and Paige Guthrie, better known as Angel and Husk of the Uncanny X-Men.

To everyones surprise, the country's president, Jono Baraka was also a retired superhero, the legendary Askari, who lent his aid to the defense of his country.

On the devastated island nation of Genosha, renagade mutants Callisto, Shola, Karima and Hub resolve to intervene without the sanction of leaders Professor Charles Xavier and Magneto, engrossed in the care of the unstable Scarlet Witch!
