Freshmen is the story of a motley assortment of college freshmen who gain an odd variety of powers when an experimental device called the "Ax-Cell-Erator" overloads and gives off a bioelectrical pulse that alters the cells of the students in the building (as well as the machine's creator) at the time. At the urging of the only one of their number who knows anything about superheroes (the resident comic book geek, who was also the only one without any powers), they became a team of superheroes, slowly learning how to function as heroes while dealing with the rigors of college life!
This dramatic two page spread depicts members of the Freshmen team: Liam Adams (Quaker), Jacques Lalleaux (the (Flying) Squirrel), Annalee Rogers (the Puppeteer), the school mascot (the Beaver), Kenneth "Norrin" Weismeyer (Wannabe/the Scarlet Knight), Elwood Johns (the Intoxicator), Charles Levy (the Green Thumb), Jimmy Culkin (Post-It), Renee Bellochio (Puller), and Brady Lee (Pusher) (known together as "the Drama Twins"). They are suspended in midair curtesy of the powers of the Drama Twins, as the group tries to help one of their own with a problem!
